one of the best things about skiing and the mountain culture, is Après–Ski!  there’s really nothing like hitting the slopes hard with your friends, knowing that incredible food awaits to warm your bellies when you finally make it to the base.  i’m guilty of even skipping the skiing part altogether and just meeting my friends for brews and bites.  we are incredibly fortunate for the amazing food and restaurants in jackson hole – it really is big city restaurant scene in a quaint town.

the Jackson Hole Food and Wine festival is hosting their first ever Winter Fest the first weekend of March and as the biggest advocate for Après–Skiing ever, i’m more than excited for the Taste of Teton Village – Best of Après–Ski.  i truly cannot think of a better way to end a ski day than with ALL of the delicious foods and cocktails from around Teton Village in one spot!  #NOM

my friend and i bopped around the Village to taste a few samples.  first stop, The Handle Bar at The Four Seasons Resort.  that sausage plate was never ending!  filled with homemade smoked game links, foie gras truffle pate, mustards, pickled veggies, and warm pretzel breads.  and let’s not forget….the most amazing thing i’ve ever eaten…..the mustache pretzel with beer cheese dipping sauce!  good god, my mouth seriously waters just thinking about it.  the best way i can try to describe that goodness would be to imagine if a croissant, donut, and pretzel had a sweet heaven sent baby, and soaked it in cheese.

our next stop was Fine Dining’s new restaurant, Enoteca.  it recently opened in Hotel Terra and we were lucky enough to try everything on the menu…..like every single thing!  it was a good day to be a blogger.  their shared plates are perfect for two or a group, and it’s impossible to go wrong with their menu.  Fine Dining is known for their incredible wine selection, so you’ll find me here often getting after that cabernet/merlot!  this delicious cassoulet – rich chunks of goat and sausage combined with white beans – will be their main dish at the event.

i’m so looking forward to this event to support our local restaurants and hope you can join!  in true jackson hole fashion, don’t wait until the last minute to purchase tickets.  get them before they sell out!!  this was an awesome article about the entire event, featured on Vogue.
